Today was our 52nd anniversary. We slept in, took long showers, had a nice breakfast together, then drove to our daughter’s new condo...which we are gutting...three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, etc...ugh! Work!! Had a quick lunch, then back to 101 degrees’ heat and more work! Now I am headed upstairs to iron for a few hours! NOT our normal anniversary trip to Maui, but he’s determined to help our daughter. I cherish everything we do now, as I see him slowing and we both wonder how many anniversaries are in our future...fingers crossed...any time together is wonderful.
