Hi Everyone, I am no longer a caregiver since my husband passed away, but I still read some of the posts on this forum. I am from Canada and I got my first vaccine for Covid 19 last week. It was the Pfizer vaccine I was wondering how many of you have your vaccine so far? I have to wait until mid June for the second dose as they want to make sure everyone gets the first dose as soon a possible. My husband passed away in 2019 before the Pandemic was even thought about. If he was still alive during the pandemic, I wouldn't have been able to visit him for several months because of the lockdown. I know it would be hard on him and very hard on me. They eventually allowed caregivers to visit but had to take the Covid test to make sure we were ok. If you have your spouse in long term, I am hoping you are able to visit. If you still have them at home, be grateful you are still close. I know it's difficult during this time, but hopefully you have your vaccine or getting it soon. Don't be the kind of person that doesn't believe in the vaccines. If everyone got them, we could get rid of the risk sooner. Take care and stay safe. LYNN |

| My husband And I Got our first shot a couple of weeks ago. We're scheduled to get the 2nd one Apr. 9. So far (knock on wood) neither one of us has been sick. |

| My husband (PWP) and I have had 1st and 2nd round of our vaccines. Other than very sore arms and tired after the second round we've had no other adverse effects. |

Good I had no side affects with the first dose. The next will be in mid June. They are trying to get the first dose into as many as they can and delaying the second dose for 3- 4 months. I guess it's different in the US. |

I got the vaccine back in December. I work in Public Health and normally work with moms and babies, but during COVID a portion of my time was redirected to COVID work and I have been working with nursing homes and other long term care facilities, going in when they have a COVID outbreak to do testing and help assist with infection prevention policies. So that's why I was eligible to get the vaccine early. My husband still hasn't been able to be vaccinated. He is eligible in my county based on his age, but because he had the DBS brain surgery at the start of the month, his doctor wants him to wait until his brain is more healed before he gets the vaccine. |

| We have both been vaccinated...he had moderne, no side effects and I had Pfizer...no effects. We were lucky. I cannot wait til this is done with but now the surges are starting up again. So scary. I worry about my family in Mich ...2 sisters in law won’t get vaccinated and it is worrisome. |
