Hello all.

It's VioletV. I haven't been here in a long long time. (and I just realized that my first post in this forum was so very long ago. maybe 8 years?) If you search VioletV you may still see some of my long-ago posts.

This forum has given me so much. It held me together when I was caring for my late husband, and after he died in 2019 this was the place where I found encouragement and support (and some early readers) when I wrote Love Dignity and Parkinson's.

I have been writing to, for and about PD caregivers ever since I first came here. And after I published my book I ended up doing more - emails, blogs etc. And who knew that it was so costly to send emails to thousands of people every week? So my labor of love turned into a business.

I've asked Jim's permission to post here about something new I'm doing.

I created a program for PD Caregivers who have been at it a long time and are worn out, lonely and discouraged. It's called 21 Days to Renewal and Resilience, and its purpose is to help caregivers find better balance in this really really hard life.

Anyway I'm doing a Black Friday Sale for this program, and you can see the information about that here.

It's normally $97, but until the end of 2024 it's only $21 dollars.

Now, if you decide to buy it - there's an offer to also get a conversation guide to help when people say "How Are You." Choosing it adds $7 to the cost. But I'm going to post it free inside this group--once Jim tells me how to do that.

This place really has been my emotional home ever since I started to understand that PD caregiving was way more than I thought it was going to be.

So I'm back among my people. I'll be reading back in this forum over the next week or so.

I hope all of you are doing as well as can be expected. I'll try to come back more often.

Many hugs to everyone, and I hope you have a satisfactory Thanksgiving.

VV

Welcome back VioletV! If there's anyone worn out lonely and discouraged sometimes it's ME! I try hard, but at 81 years old, I sure tire out quickly. So I will definitely check into getting your book right now.

It sure is good to hear from you. Hope it helps lots of other folks on this forum as well!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!
